Les astronomes peuvent observer les baisses de lumi\u00e8re lorsque des plan\u00e8tes passent devant leur \u00e9toile h\u00f4te et bloquent la lumi\u00e8re qui atteint nos t\u00e9lescopes sur Terre ou dans l&#8217;espace, ce que l&#8217;on appelle la &#8220;m\u00e9thode du transit&#8221;, ou en observant l&#8217;oscillation d&#8217;une \u00e9toile caus\u00e9e par les plan\u00e8tes qui gravitent autour d&#8217;elle et l&#8217;effet d&#8217;entra\u00eenement qui en d\u00e9coule.
