La fin dramatique de la l\u00e9gende a assur\u00e9 sa p\u00e9rennit\u00e9 : Alors que la femme, d\u00e9guis\u00e9e en pape Johannes Anglicus, menait une procession religieuse \u00e0 Rome au milieu du IXe si\u00e8cle, elle aurait accouch\u00e9, r\u00e9v\u00e9lant que \u00ab\u00a0Johannes\u00a0\u00bb \u00e9tait en fait \u00ab\u00a0Joan\u00a0\u00bb. <\/p>\n<p>Bien que la plupart des historiens pensent que la papesse Jeanne n&rsquo;est rien de plus qu&rsquo;un mythe invent\u00e9 par les premiers d\u00e9tracteurs de l&rsquo;\u00c9glise catholique, son histoire s&rsquo;est av\u00e9r\u00e9e trop all\u00e9chante pour \u00eatre oubli\u00e9e. Au fil des ans, plusieurs chercheurs ont tent\u00e9 de retrouver une v\u00e9ritable Jeanne historique. Le dernier en date est Michael E.
